Most people may think that because a certain food is good for the body, that more of it would even be better. Take water for instance. What is better for a body than pure clean water? We can't live without it, but does that mean the more the better? Up to a point the answer is yes, but did you know that there is also a point where it becomes deadly? Bottom line is that anything in excess can kill you, even the good stuff.
Now, maybe you can imagine how bad an excess of bad food can be for your body. Food, as a poison is very slow and subtle most of the time. We all know about the stomach discomforts food can cause and aggravate, and we've heard about allergies to food.
There are other dangers in food also, such as sodium and msg. A few years ago I had something unusual happen to me. An hour or so after lunch everyday my heart would start to skip. Everyday it got worse and worse, until one day it seemed like every other beat skipped, and in between all this I would have moments of a strange string of beats which would make me dizzy.
I finally went to the doctor for this and we discussed the lunches I was having. Chili dogs, chili with tamales, and lunch meat sandwiches. She suggested that I eliminate all processed lunch meat, and fast food. It sounded too simple, but I was scared and desperate enough to try anything. It got better in the next week, but still continued, so I stopped eating at lunchtime and within the week my heart was beating as usual.
