I admit it. I am a food addict. I like to look at pictures of it, read about it, smell it, cook it, shop for it, plan it, prepare it and yes in the end, eat it.
I don't think I'll ever get over my love affair with food, but that doesn't mean I can't make better choices of what I eat and more importantly, control the portions of it.
I have lost over fifty pounds since Feb. of 2007, but it was mostly due to the fact I went back on my thyroid hormone which I desperately needed. I did try a little to monitor my meals, but I still cheated a lot.
Now if I am fat it's due to my overeating and not the thyroid. So now is a great time to get serious about meals and snacks.
I have just tried some sugarless jello at only ten calories per half a cup serving. I was leery at first but I have to tell you it tasted like regular jello to me and at only ten calories you can certainly afford to add some fruit to it which is sweet naturally, or a little dollop of lite whipped cream.
Also with everyone on the warpath about trans fats it's easy to find all kinds of foods without them.
