FAKE POTATOES AND RICE

A couple days ago I made myself a steak for dinner. As side dishes I had corn on the cob sprayed with my "fake butter"and cubed zucchini.

The spray butter has the taste of butter or margarine but it comes in a little spray bottle and contains no calories, fat, carbs, or anything else for that matter, in fact I don't know how there is even anything to spray out!

I noticed while I ate that having cubed the zucchini in potato size chunks and cooking it only till firm that it not only looked like potatoes but had the texture and was only slightly different in taste. They were not only delicious, but satisfying as well.

There is nothing wrong with having real potatoes, but from time to time if you can save on some calories and carbs I say go for it!

I haven't tried this yet but I'm told that if you grate some cauliflower it can fill in for rice. Again saving you calories and carbs.
