The best advice for intake of fats is cut out transfats completely, there is no safe level. Cut down and if possible cut out completely, your saturated fats.
Products must list trans fats on the label, however a food can list trans fats as zero even if they contain up to half a gram. To be sure you should look at the list of ingredients and do not buy it if you see the words "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil", and/or vegetable shortening.
Remember too that ingredients are listed in order of the amount that the product contains. In other words the nearer the top the higher the amount.
