I don't have a scale and it's a pain having to measure everything you eat, but the truth is most of us eat bigger portions then we should. The Mayo Clinic had some great visualizations to help you know what a serving should look like and it really does help so here are some tips to find that correct portion.
a tennis ball = one med. orange or apple
computer mouse = one medium potato
hockey puck = one average bagel
baseball = one cup fruit
deck of cards = 3 ounces meat
checkbook = 3 ounces meat
4 dice = one ounce of cheese
tip of your thumb = one teaspoon peanut butter
