On my other blog Healthy Life Food, I have been describing a diet put out by the department of Health and Human Services. This diet will lower your blood pressure, help with excess weight, and help your body to fight disease.
I believe very strongly that what we eat has everything to do with disease and our ability to fight it. Take a look at the DASH program and see if it doesn't make alot of sense to you.
