Results of a study done on teens and weight has revealed that teens who eat breakfast every morning tend to weigh five pounds less than teens who skip breakfast.
The most obvious reason for this is that people who eat breakfast daily also tend to have healthier lifestyles in general. Another reason is that eating breakfast will prevent some overeating later on in the day because you tend to be fuller.
This doesn't mean cake and donuts for breakfast. A proper portion of cereal, oatmeal, eggs, and an occasional breakfast bar or drink would all be better choices.
